The NFL has made sports betting a part of its broadcasts. The league signed a multi-year deal with DraftKings, FanDuel, and Caesars Entertainment to offer sports betting content through their sites. This agreement will give these companies exclusive access to NFL content and will pave the way for betting content to be integrated into NFL Network broadcasts this fall.
Official betting partnerships are growing in number, bringing together key industry players. While a few of these partnerships are one-off deals, most of them are huge portfolios of long-term relationships. DraftKings, for example, has signed an extensive number of deals to expand its presence in several states. Other notable partnerships have included MLB, NHL, and NBA teams.
FanDuel recently announced an extension of its agreement with the PGA TOUR that will run through 2024. The partnership allows the sports betting company to offer odds-based content to fans of the tournament. It will also have rights to use the PGA TOUR’s marks, distribute highlights to FanDuel bettors, and advertise within TOUR media.
As sports betting became legal across the U.S. in 2018, NASCAR sought an official betting product and data product to make it easy for sportsbooks to accept bets. The result is the first-of-its-kind official sportsbook product, which includes over 25 in-race bet-types. This product allows sportsbooks to accept bets on every lap of every race, giving fans in regulated states an immersive and interactive live experience.
